How to find model number for your fridge for Whirlpool and change for water filter

Your model number may be located in a variety of locations:

Top-freezer Refrigerator

Side-by-Side Refrigerator

French-door Refrigerator

Places to look:

Ceiling of refrigerator interior
Inside walls of refrigerator or freezer (possibly behind drawers)
Frame behind the door when the door is opened
Behind the kickplate
On the back of the refrigerator

A sample model number label looks like this:

Once you find your rectangular product tag, your model number is located on the left, middle side of the tag. Note: the model number is different from the serial number.
